We understand that starting in a  Day Nursery in Swansea can at times be daunting. To help your child we provide two free 2-hour sessions to help your child settle in before their start date and get to know our friendly team.

We do ask that parents stick to our pick up times. If you are late this will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

All staff either hold at least a Level 3 Childcare Qualification or are working towards completing it. 

Yes, all staff are first aid trained to give parents peace of mind when choosing Treforys Tiny Tots.

Yes, all staff at Treforys Tiny Tots undergo the required DBS checks as part of their employment enrolment. 

Yes, each room has designated staff, overseen by a team leader. This helps your child build foundation relationships during their time with us.

The ratios follow national standards for childcare providers:
•0-2 years: 1 adult for 3 children
•2-3 years: 1 adult for 4 children
•Over 3 years: 1 adult for 8 children
•8-12 years: 1 adult for 12 children

Our nursery has a camera system at the main entrance and CCTV around the building’s exterior to ensure your child’s safety.

We aim to make the transition from home to nursery smooth for every child. Each room follows a routine, but if your child has specific needs, please discuss them with the manager or team leader during settling-in sessions. We will do our very best to welcome any given routines where appropriate.

Children sleep in cots or on sleep mats, and all bedding is labeled for each child. We have a designated sleep room where we darken out the room to provide a warm, comforting area to encourage healthy sleep patterns.

Your child’s key person will create development reports every six months. Staff also carry out WellComm assessments every three months for each child.

Yes, we are a fully inclusive nursery. We have a qualified Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to support your Childs specific needs. Any plans or extra support can be discussed with our management team and in settling in periods.

We organise regular short walks and outings to places such as local parks, play areas, lakes, and nearby care homes. Children have plenty of opportunities to go outside and play, regardless of the weather.

We have an on-site cook who prepares fresh, homemade meals. We cater to all dietary requirements, so if your child has any medical or dietary needs, please inform management so we can accommodate them.

We work closely with parents and carers to support the weaning process. We follow home routines and introduce new foods gradually to ensure a smooth transition
